Reviews of other student work music video
I thought it might be quite beneficial to have a look and review at other students work to help me gain some inspiration and ideas of what I can apply to my own music video. I want to think about while analyzing their work by what they did well, which might inspire me to add into my own music video and a few things they can work out and that I didn't like in their video.
This is an A level media music video published on youtube in 2019 called You know you like it. Firstly in this music video I liked how the students made the video and shots very realistic, they did this as the audience was watching the boy day dreaming about this girl and then he woke up out of it, shown by the camera shots and editing skills to fade out of it, helping the verisimilitude of the story. I thought the camera paced and the held handed camera looked good and was fitted nicely into the shots.
However, I did not like how the camera in one part went very out of focus very fuzzy and wobbly to see what was going on, although not sure if they did that purposefully. This is something that I will be considering ideas of when I am filming my own music video. There also wasn't really an clear signal of a storyline, which could be improved.
