 Target setting

For my project, I and my partner Izel will be focusing on filming and producing a music videos in the dance\electronic genre. Through my previous research and notes on the music industry, codes and conventions of genre in music videos led us to choice the song You and me by disclosure. This song and genre in particular interested me as it is one of my favorite songs and band but also is a very upbeat electronic sound which interested me as i think it would be a challenge but also very fun to create my own video for it. I have watched Disclosures music video for You and Me and many other exams which I have taken some ideas which I am planning to use to help me create my own. I have a brief idea of what i would like to film which i personally think would fit very well with the song.

Some initial ideas I have in mind is based in a nature setting. In a open field, woods any outdoor space with multiples cuts and edits to make it be more exciting and cool for the song with flashing lights. I have decided i would be performing in my music video. I would possibly wear a black, grey or white hoodie either to create a dull effect or the white to brighten it up and contrast with the nature setting. Props so far would be sparkles, fireworks, motor bike and smoke as I would like to make it as exciting it can be especially with the beat drop. I would like to film this during just before getting dark. This is as it creates more effect to the song as it fits it well instead of it being to dark or to bright. I would like to research a little bit more into the dance/electronic genre so I can be as perfectly spot on with my project enabling me to reach my full potential. I will do this through writing and mapping out notes into my research.
